LS Twin Stars Reception Center: A Landmark of Home Protection and Modern Design Excellence in Taiwan

UP Town New Interior Design has achieved international recognition with its LS Twin Stars Reception Center, which was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design for 2025. Located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and completed in June 2024, the project redefines the concept of a reception center by blending bold geometric forms, advanced safety features, and a warm, inviting interior. The design draws inspiration from the idea of 'home protection,' with a striking shield-shaped facade that symbolizes security and trust for potential homeowners.

The exterior of the LS Twin Stars Reception Center features layered shield motifs crafted from wood wool cement boards and flexible PU coatings, materials chosen for their resilience against earthquakes and their tactile, modern appearance. Semi-reflective finishes and linear lighting create a visually dynamic effect, making the building a local landmark. Inside, concentric walls radiate from a central model display area, reinforcing the theme of home as a stable, welcoming center. The use of wood veneer and stone further enhances the sense of comfort and solidity, while large windows flood the discussion areas with natural light.

Functionality and accessibility were central to the design process. The ground floor offers open parking and an accessible booth for visitors, while the upper level includes discussion spaces, a show-home area, and a tea bar. The project also overcame significant technical challenges, such as integrating a steel structure system to ensure stability above the parking area and pioneering full compliance with New Taipei City's latest fire safety standards. As a result, LS Twin Stars not only sets a new standard for reception centers but also serves as a reference case for industry professionals, combining safety, sustainability, and a welcoming atmosphere in one innovative package.
